Widowtitties is a glimpse into the complexities of becoming a widow at a young age, while also navigating the journey to motherhood and the pressures in the pursuit of having it all. The piece is an emotional presentation that evolves into a captivating rhythm of narration and poetry, written and performed by Nicole Staple, whose story the film is based on.

In an effort to deliver a unique experience for this vulnerable story, director Jana Cruder set out to create a piece that lands between art and narrative drama. Shot in one day, the idea was to create an immersive piece for social platforms - that stops scrolling in its tracks. As such, the work is visually captivating and filmed vertically. The short vignettes each present our character amongst an evolving story-line. The visually rich color treatment, lighting, set design and costuming are influenced by the pop icons and culture influences of the late 80s and early 90s.
